When you visit a cryo centre, the operator will go through every element of a cryo session with you so you will know exactly what to expect.

You must first be aware that you must take off all jewellery and put on cotton undergarments, felt boots, and gloves.

Typically, the entire cryo treatment lasts between one and three minutes. Your body will be exposed to temperatures as low as -180°C during that period, but you won’t notice them much. Since liquid nitrogen doesn’t overcool the body, you won’t feel uncomfortable like when you temper in ice water. After the session, you’ll be amazed to discover that even though your skin feels cold to the touch, your body actually radiates a cosy feeling of warmth.
