Since ancient times, people have employed the healing properties of cold. Ice was applied to soothe pain or inflammation. Toshima Yamauchi, a Japanese academic, was the first to suggest utilising extremely low temperatures to treat rheumatoid arthritis in the 1970s. About 80% of patients who were critically ill who used this therapy reported total relief from pain and disease-related symptoms. At the Rheumatology Congress, Professor Yamauchi announced his accomplishments to the world, and a few years later the first cryotherapeutic system was put into operation.
Cryotherapy is a tried-and-true method of healing and treatment today. It helps thousands of athletes, famous people, and regular people improve their health and general wellbeing.
